i'm in nova scotia!!! [/whisper] free internet at the high school in lunenburg and i'm trying to catch up on things online.

random thought: i think i like the old blogger better.

umm... so here i am in nova scotia. it's so pretty here! i might never go home. but then, i wouldn't get to go to scotland with luarne in a couple years (you promised!)

so i'm here with my friend *mar and her parents. we're here for the boxwood flute festival with chris norman and his pals. simeon the hotness isn't here (he looks like pippin), but creepfest (though really really really cool) andy is here and the lovely lovely lovely hot hot hot really really really really really hot hot hot (and i mean really hot, here, get it?) <♥>james<♥> is here.

and i'm in love with james. not really, but a nice shagging wouldn't be too bad. unfortunately, half the camp thinks that as well. the other half of the camp is men.

so there's a ceilidh tonight and i'm so excited for it! for you non-knowing-what-a-ceilidh-is-people, it's a dance. like a dance party. you know. :D good stuff. and <♥>james<♥> is a morris dancer. and he wears a kilt when he dances. y'all should see it. but then you'd want him for yourself. and you can't have him. he's... my ... prrrrecccciousssssss..... [/gollum] i'll try and put up a link to a picture of him, but i'll have to fiddle around with newblogger for a while.

so my pal dani!!! you got your permit!!! i have my proof of enrollment from sister linda proving that i do indeed go to school, but i've only read the first three sections of the dmv manual. and i need to read all of it. i brought it with me to NOVA SCOTIA!!!! along with in the time of the butterflies, which you all need to read. it's by julia alvarez. that's julia, not julia. :D

so, more about <♥>james<♥>. everyone is trying to seduce him and it's just not fair!!!! he's from ny, ny, and he graduated from oberlin (???) and he's really reallly really really really really really really really really hot. and he's a morris dancer and he plays the bass and the viol de gamba (sp? i dunno.) and he SINGS!!! lordy, he sings. i'm tellin' y'all, he sings. he's amazing. he plays the bass a little out of tune, especially when he's playing really high on the board, but holy cow, you should hear him sing. but then you'd want him for yourselves, and you can't have him. he's mine.

and he's hot.

i'll try and get a good picture (or two or three or a million) of him, and some of chris, too, because he also looks like pippin. and pippin is very cute.

okay, more about nova scotia? it's really really pretty and it's new scotland, so if new scotland is this nice, i can't wait to see the old scotland!!![luarne, that's your cue. :D hee hee]

in halifax *mar and i were walking around and we came across a st. mary's school - - - for boys. can you believe it!?!?!? i hope it's a secondary school. though i doubt it. it's right across from the library. these keys are really really gross and my fingers are going to be extremely dirty by the time i'm done with this, yuck.

ummm... i dunno what else. may post later in the week. as far as i know, i still have comments, so comment me!!!! now!!!

my quote of the day is from my pal sarah:

" i'm drunk on life! - and a big tall glass of james and simeon! (besides the frelling god, james. and some other lovely pagan stuff)

for debate it's me and a sarah against the other froshes about educational vouchers. our side is against them. this should be an interesting argument, eh? both sides put up some pretty good stuff.

damn it! i still haven't gotten the right cables!!!!!!!! this sucks. i need the right kind of cables. rar.

mr. religion teacher borrowed play with fire. even though the tape sucks. and i believe that next week he'll have to borrow my copy of inside the box because he's got a track meet. i still have to lend pwf to madame and that one girl... i don't know her name, but oh well. i am the school's csi source!!! i feel so ... renowned. :D

yesterday was my school's first annual poetry slam! it was the funnest thing. everyone had really good poems and some were really funny. like "ode to hairbrush" and "letter to an elf." as inspired by "letter to an elf," megara and i are now writing a letter of our own. that one girl's letter is to a certain elf that is not by the name of dobby, as i first thought. second guess? yup, it's LEGOLAS!!!!! but megara and i are writing to ♥ARAGORN♥ !!!!!!!! it should be funny. we're doing it kind of like carousel writing. she's writing a paragraph i'm writing a paragraph she's writing i'm writing etc. i may post it here when it's done. i hope it turns out well. i just found out yesterday, megara is a master poet! which is dumb because i can't write poetry worth crap. seriously [llama]. forget anything remotely related to rhyme. it's all about the free verse and repetition. i've written like 3 poems in my entire life on my own. not forced. but now we're starting a poetry unit, so it's gonna be more forced poetry.

hoyay! ender/bean!

after tonight, NO MORE NEW CSI!!!!!!!!! i'll try not to die. *whimper whimper* i will just have to wait until September. only a couple months, right? and lots of repeats i haven't seen. from second season. hopefully scuba doobie doo and ellie. i want to see them! the chalk and the cockroaches! hmph! plus, tonight should be good. i hope. better ending than pwf, i hope. i'm depressed about that ep. only not really because i'm being really optimistic about tonight. but i'm sad. :,'( those are real tears. ohhhh....

that is all. i told you it would be short! i always seem to have a lot to say, don't i?

hey! it's all for you, gaia!
my quote of the day is from bring me to life from evanescence.
"my spirit's sleeping somewhere cold / until you find it there / and lead it back home / wake me up inside / wake me up inside / call my name and / save me from the dawn / bid my blood to run / before i come undone / save me from / the nothing i've become"

yay! ♥ today is the first day since friday that i've listened to something other than evanescence. and it happens to be the csi soundtrack. which i always listen to on thursdays. and every thursday i bring one other cd with me. guess what it is? fallen. evanescence. hee!

irreconcilable differences? va te fais feutre. that's bs. (how do you spell that again, luarne?)

aller poisson!!! bwah ha ha ha ga! that was good times. not gud tyms, but good times.

so anyway, yeah. don't have liturgy on thursday! hallelujah! score. so anyway, it also means i don't know what i am going to wear on thursday. hm. okay, now i know. most likely, it will be clothes. ha!

yesterday i wrote a paper about why women should be allowed to serve as leaders in the southern baptist seminary and church and stuff. in christology we watched a movie about the whole controversy thing and it was so confusing. seriously. i couldn't tell the people apart and i really couldn't tell which side which person was on. ahh!

i hope today is better than yesterday. really. it's been days since i had a good week. (i didn't come up with that one myself, by the way) i am so burnt out! i can hardly imagine a full year of this school. holy crap. great. i'm so excited for next year. ha. and they say that junior year is the hardest. i'm pretty excited for that too. hmph. so anyway, i'm taking choir next year! yay! and also interpretive dance or something.

random thought of the day: i think i'll go change the signature on my email. to what shall i change it?
hoyay! gil/greg!

we're dissecting fetal pigs this week in biology! i don't know whether to be really excited or not so excited. but i think i'm pretty excited. yay thursday will be happy science day. we are also starting debates soon in speech. i get my grade from my last speech back today and i'm kinda nervous, but whatever.

*sigh* it's analyzationing time! gather 'round, children! i told you yesterday this analyzation would come today. grissom and sara forever!
okay, so spidysense from twop, the master of spoilers and other inside information, has given us the original dialogue for the last scene of play with fire before it was rewritten. i dunno where spidy gets all this stuff, but it's great.
sara: you got a minute?
grissom: i'm going home.
sara: schedule says you're off tonight.
grissom: that's right.
sara: me too.
grissom: you should be on paid leave.
sara: i'm fine.
grissom: you're fortunate. and i'm not talking about the explosion.
sara: what? you talked to brass.
grissom: and nick.
sara: we got the guy.
grissom: that's all you have to say?
sara: tell you what. we both have the night off. let's have dinner. talk about things. see what else we feel like.
grissom: sara, we've been over this.
sara: we haven't been over anything. we've danced around it, but we've never been over it.
grissom: then let me clarify the situation. i am your supervisor. that makes you my responsibility. and that makes any reckless behavior on your part my concern.
sara: you telling me to stop?
a beat. faint echo. then -
grissom: you could put it that way.
sara: your loss.
maybe. maybe not. either way, sara leaves. grissom puts the card away. hold for a beat. then hits the lights. FADE OUT.

i love spidy. ♥ to you. :D

so anyway, that is what it was before it was rewritten, right? i like both versions, but there are some parts in each that i don't like. in the pre-rewrite one, i like the "stop" part [shades of lady heather's box, and i like the continuity/possible foreshadowing?], and i like the fact that there is no definite "no" from grissom, and i like the "we've danced around it" but i don't like "your loss." it's so harsh. really. in the released version, i like the way grissom said no [you'd just have to hear/see it to know what i'm talking about], and i liked the way sara asks grissom to dinner, and looking past the fact that she's telling him "screw you" i like sara's line "you know by the time you figure it out you're really gonna be too late." i liked it. but i didn't like it because grissom does actually say "no" and also, sara's kick-ass line is so clear-cut. it's like "your loss" only way cooler sounding. i dunno. sara just rawks my world. since none of that "are you telling me to stop" stuff actually happened, they need to incorporate it into next ep or whatever. it needs to come up. for us fans that are like die-hard batteries.

i really don't see why grissom didn't say yes!? he needed/needs a break from work, especially after the explosion and all that hectic stress and crap. and come on, they would have a good time. grissom could maybe knock some sense into sara after her little episode at mickey d's house, and maybe sara could knock some sense into grissom about his hearing and shell. they both need to get a life. so get lives together! bingo. anyway. you know i really can't think of a good reason why grissom doesn't like sara/didn't say yes to her invitation. but i try:
- he doesn't want her to find out about his hearing problem because he's scared to hurt her
- he's just plain scared to hurt her
- he's just plain scared of how he feels
- he's scared to come outside of his shell because he doesn't want to get hurt. he used to be normal, but then holly gribbs happened. it's like he feels he got too close to holly and then BANG! she died. even though he had only known holly a couple hours before she was shot. i dunno. he's just too scientific. what a nut case.
- he secretly hates sara [why, i don't know]
- he's still sleeping with lady heather
- he doesn't want the working relationship to screw them up
- he doesn't want to screw up the working relationship
- he doesn't want the ratings to go down [seriously, the ratings would probably drop if there was romance]
- he's just too damn blind to see what's damn straight in front of him
- he's in love with her and can't let her see

i'm a big fan of the last two. i got this conversation from twop (it's between sorcha mise and her husband mr. s)
mr. sorcha: what would grissom do if sara asked him to marry her?
sorcha: snerk i think his head would explode.
mr. s: one of them needs to get a different job so they can get together.

yay! mr. s is one of us! i'm upset because i can't find grissomandsara.com !!! it's disappeared. underthebridge has been moved to yourtaxdollarsatwork.com or something. but since i'm not a member of utb, i don't really care. it's gone! this makes me unhappy. my fanfics are archived there. harrumph.
anyway, is there any reason why grissom and sara should not be together? please, someone give a shout-out if there is. or forever hold your peace. [bwah ha ha! that wasn't very funny] how about this?
grissom/catherine: not! they are so much brother-sister type relationship! they're way too comfortable around each other, but i have never seen grissom in the same screen as lindsey. obviously, if you're going out with someone, you have to know their kids.
grissom/lady heather: actually, this would be okay, but lady heather is too temporary. too... fetish-y. hm. and she is mad at grissom, last i heard.
grissom/lab tech lady from the pilot: she's gone, and their date went not-so-well anyway. she's not a big fan of pink floyd, apparently.
sara/nick: way too much brother-sister here! there is no tension and no flirting since the beginning of the first season! they're way too easy around each other. it just wouldn't work.
sara/hank: need i say more? no. they are history. in my opinion, they never were.
grissom/greg: that would be very cute, actually, but i think that greg would rather be a mini-gil. hee!
sara/warrick: it's purely coworker-ness.
grissom/hodges: sorry, go tell nick or sara.
sara/hodges: they're not even friends! ha!

therefore, it will be grissom/sara and catherine/warrick and greg/nick/archie/me. oh, i've just come to the conclusion that that brass secretly has a crush on catherine. hee hee!

reasons why it should [WILL!] be grissom/sara:
ummm... four words: "since i met you" [that ep is on this friday! yay!]
"chalk, from the plaster" [i haven't seen this ep, but i will eventually.]
"honey, this doesn't look good" [you can't go around calling people honey and not expect them to fall for your damn fine self! lanarian said that, i think]
"wow, you got burned bad, huh?" [catherine knows. cath is on our side!]
"i'm gonna pretend i didn't hear that" [warrick knows! warrick is on our side!]
"it's so easy to wear your heart on your sleeve when you're looking in his eyes" [i don't know where it's from, but it sounds vaguely familiar and i heard if from someone, so yeah]
the plant [yah!]
"i need you" [you bet your butt you do, buddy!]
"i have you" [you wish you did now, buster!]
diversion [too tough to die. also, sara cries to grissom in that]
the symmetry under the bridge! hello! the entire symmetry thing! the song! the words! the everything!
"it's like a crossword puzzle, once you pick it up, you can never put it down" [similar interests! besides the obvious, work!]
"come tape me up" "i love my work" [ummm, really now.]
"god, sara, i have so many unanswered whys" [confession, eh?]
hank [he's gone. outta the picture]
lady heather [she's definitely not out of the picture, but definitely a source of glorious tension. the fact that grissom will realize that sara is better for him]
hello?!!??!?!?! there is no way they should not be together! i hate all the ust, but i love it all the same. mmmm so much torture!
i hate the way that grissom chases after women (teri miller, lady heather, lab tech lady) and they all leave him in the dust, and when there is a wonderful hot intelligent woman chasing after him begging to be noticed, he leaves her in the dust. i hate the way he is so damn blind.

that is all. carry on with your life. thank you come again!

my quote of the day is from the song hello by evanescence.
soon i know i'll wake from this dream
don't try to fix me i'm not broken
hello i am the lie
living for you so you can hide
don't cry
suddenly i know i'm not sleeping
hello i'm still here
all that's left of yesterday

i told you i was obsessed with the cd and i also told you it was slightly morbid.

my other quote of the day is from the song imaginary by evanescence. it's my namesake song! it's very me, too. it must be fate!
swallowed up in the sound of my screaming
cannot cease for the fear of silent nights
oh how i long for the deep sleep dreaming
the goddess of imaginary light

irreconcilable differences? oh god, i'm so sorry. i wish i was there. oh god, i'm so sorry. oh, god.

i have a new favourite song:

taking over me - evanescence
you don't remember me but i remember you/i lie awake and try so hard not to think of you
but who can decide what they dream?/and dream i do/i believe in you/i'll give up everything just to find you/i have to be with you to live to breathe/you're taking over me/have you forgotten all i know /and all we had?/you saw me mourning my love for you and touched my hand/i knew you loved me then/i believe in you/i'll give up everything just to find you /i have to be with you to live to breathe/you're taking over me/i look in the mirror see your face/if i look deep enough/so many things inside that are just like you/i believe in you/i'll give up everything just to find you/i have to be with you to live to breathe/you're taking over me/you're taking over me

i first found that here. (open that in mplayer2 if you can. if you don't have a really fast connection it's totally not worth waiting like 7 minutes for, but if you only have to wait like 2 minutes, do it.) it's someone's very first music video. it's pretty impressive. so anyway, i became obsessed with the song and the video and went and got the cd (the rest of which is slightly morbid) and have been listening to it all weekend. well, kind of all weekend.

i also saw a mighty wind. it's by the same guy who did best in show, and it's a mockumentary like it, but it's about folk singers and stuff. it is so funny! go see it. now. :D you must.

mmm still have to re-write my exegesis. stupid stupid paper. i also am supposed to write a paper about why/why not/why i am neutral about the situation women should be allowed to be in high positions in the southern baptist church. do i really care? no. i'm all about the matriarchal society. no men at all. ha! so of course i'll write a paper about how jesus taught that all people should be treated equally and that means women, too, and they should be allowed to be ministers/preachers/pastors whatever. any objections?
we're going to be dissecting fetal pigs soon! yahoo!!!

my speech on friday went really really well, i think. i might have actually gotten an a on it. finally! an a on a speech! i've gotten all bs this year on my previous speeches, impromptu, freedom fries informative, and forensics informative. prob'ly the only reason i got an a last quarter in speech is because i got a really high grade on my test. and i also got extra credit for going to see guys and dolls. but since i didn't go see the one acts festival last week (because it was on thursday) i dunno if i'll get any extra credit this semester. i'd better do really well on the debate(s). great. i don't think i did too well in our last debate in 8th grade. the annapolis convention reenactment thingy. but that thing is fixed, i swear. new jersey is never gonna win. it's always north carolina or south carolina or whatever. stupid wimps. seceding should not be allowed. :P

hoyay! draco/harry!

so anyway, i got a cold this weekend. not too bad, though. i'm all better now. i don't get sick often. i think the last time i was really really sick was when i had harry blake disease, but i'm not going to go in to that. dudeman, that was a fun trip. **brooding and thinking about "taking over me" and sara and grissom and play with fire and that trip and so much other stuff...**

damn him. damn them all.

okay, i don't think i can avoid it any longer.
my play with fire analysis:
i love tapes. i've seen this episode 4 times now, i think. my tape is really crappy because i have the wrong kind of cables, but hopefully i'll get to a radioshack sometime this week and they can help me out. vcr's brand new, so it shouldn't be dirty, but i cleaned it with the cleaner tape and nothing changed. but it's serious crap. it's like it's constantly trying to do the tracking adjustment, but it isn't working, and it's really fuzzy. lauren says her copy of the princess bride is like that because it's been watched so many times, but mine? is not old. that's okay. i have it recording on sp, and that only means 2 hours on each tape. but that's okay, i've got seven tapes. on to the subject on the screwed-up tape.
the a-plot was pretty good, actually. kinda weird. the girl was a murder groupie and a crack whore. not good. but she ended up dead. and grissom and everyone figured out who did it. but since the lab blew up, along with thirteen active cases, there's no way they're gonna get a conviction. no way.
the b-plot was the lab investigation. as was first thought, it was catherine's fault. had nothing to do with grissom. whew! but still, poor catherine. i just don't know how to feel about that woman. now she needs to take her five days unpaid leave and go spend time with her daughter. ya think? so she doesn't need to pay for a nanny. they don't come cheap.
speaking of woman about whom i don't know how to feel, there was wild speculation that sara may be pregnant. but i think the majority of us, including me, have come to the conclusion that jorja fox is just the victim of bad lighting, bad clothing, bad posture, and bad camera angles. she did a very good job of being sara this episode. jorja rocks my world.
so anyway, i've memorized the good parts of play with fire and here they are. there will be more analyzation of the last scene and Just One Word tomorrow.
four days until the finale! i've been spoiler-free for at least a week now! go me! and now:

grissom, eb david, and nick are in the box of the football stadium, with the dead girl.
grissom: there's still sweat on her upper lip. david, get a liver temp.
david: okay just let me finish this (something to that effect)
grissom: now, david.
(the squish of an electronic liver thermometer through dead flesh)
david: 98.1
nick: she's been dead less than an hour. (body temperature drops 1.5 degrees in the first hour and 2 in every subsequent hour, i believe. that makes her dead about 20 minutes)
grissom: the killer's still on her.
and we cut to the who. "well, who are you?" - sobell

warrick and catherine are walking to the chem/dna lab and talking about their case.
warrick: she said her husband was in the garage drinking and just done fell over.
catherine: oh, the ever-popular dfo. right up there with the mysterious dude defense.
catherine puts a jar of green glass under the fume hood next to a hot plate and they walk away, talking about lindsey or something. and how linds has been caught fighting at school. yada yada...
catherine: she lost her dad, you know? she's... having a hard time.
[foreshadowing to next week's ep!!!]

grissom and doc robbins are in autopsy. grissom asks if doc took a sart kit.
david the vnc: it's on greg's desk, but he's pretty backed up. more than usual.
[foreshadowing to later in this ep!!!]

nicky and brass are in the hotel of the vic, going through her luggage. nicky holds up a tape recorder.
nicky: who takes a tape recorder with them on vacation?
brass: well, i keep one by the bed, in case i dream anything useful. what, i can't have deep thoughts? ... just kidding.

grissom's walking down the hall and hodges the creepy new tech that nobody likes, wonder why? catches up to him.
hodges: hey boss, just analyzed the evidence found in your vic's rental car.
grissom: you should be telling nick or sara.
hodges: yeah, well, i couldn't find them, they must be on another break.
and who says this show isn't a comedy? i hope nicky pounds hodges good when the Day of Justice arrives. so they're talking some more and grissom tells hodges "good work" or something.
hodges: listen, i'd like to think that you and i - - -
grissom: no, go tell nick or sara.

grissom is in the fingerprint lab, i think, with jacqui (i think. jacqui is awesome) and greg bursts in.
greg: grissom! i'm about to rock your world.
no kidding, eh greg? seriously. he's not pulling your leg, gris, listen to him.

sara is stalking grissom because she's finally got the nerve up to ... well, we'll get to that later. she's following him, obviously wanting to talk to him, but maybe a little tentatively, wanting to get him when no one else is around. gris ducks into greg's lab, talking about nail clippers.
greg: killer victim location
grissom: holy trinity, greg, i need that.
i just like that. i like grissom's religion.

so basically, sara was stalking grissom some more, but gave up. she was walking back to the break room or wherever she was, and we get an overhead shot of greg turning around towards the fume hood. and ka-BOOM! the fume hood explodes. blam! stuff goes everywhere and greg gets flung way far and then we see sara turn and get flung into the wall. really dramatic shots of greg and sara lying in the broken glass, with alarms screaming and fires going and smoke smoking and broken stuff everywhere. really very cool. would have been better if sara screamed "GRISSOM!!!!" though. *sigh*
we come back from commercial seeing my poor greg carted off on a ... well, cart. on his side, because apparently he's got some pretty bad burns on his back. the entire lab is outside watching greg get hauled off in an ambulance. grissom looks pretty concerned for greg. but luckily he was the only one with bad enough injuries that he needed to be taken away. so anyway, grissom turns to see sara completely in shock, sitting on the edge of the sidewalk, cradling a hand in her lap. grissom walks over.
grissom: are you okay?"
sara (stunned): uh-huh.
grissom (looks at her hand): honey this doesn't look good.
sara: 'sfine. clean-up's gonna be something, we should get started.
grissom (really concerned): you need to get stiches.
sara: i'm okay.
grissom (to unidentified emt, hopefully not hank): would you take care of her hand, please?
of course, right when grissom said "honey" the phone rang, so i wasn't sure if i'd really heard him correctly. i was still kinda in shock. hee! i'm twelve. :) sara's such a workaholic.

warrick and cath are interrogating greg in his hospital bed. he doesn't look so good and says he's pretty tired.
cath: did you notice anything prior to the explosion? a power surge? a spark? a smell?
greg: plastic. burning plastic. i turned around to see where it was coming from. and after that ... sorry.
my poor greggie!

cath and warrick are in the layout room. cath just figured it out.
warrick: so who blew up the lab?
catherine: i did.
bam! how 'bout that? actually, she just put the unidentified liquid under the fume hood next to the hot plate, which should not have been on! but the hot plate blew up the liquid. hodges said "that thing gets turned on by accident all the time." mysterious dude defense!

sara is with brass and some uniforms at the home of a suspect. they break into his apartment, and they can't find him. sara draws her gun and kicks in the bathroom door.
sara: i got him!
brass (to sara): get back!
... they grab the suspect ...
brass (to sara again): holster your weapon! what're you doing? what were you thinking? you know that we clear the room, not you!
brass turns away.
sara (halfheartedly): i got him.
that girl should not be back on the job already. my poor sara.

cath and grissom are telling the head honcho of the lab what happened.
cath: it was my responsibility. i didn't follow procedure. (something like that.)
director-man[robert, apparently.]: why not?
catherine: because there's 24 hours in the day and i'm pulling 16 for the county, spending 3 pretending to sleep, and the other 5 lying to my daughter that everything's gonna be all right.
blah blah about cross jurisdictions or something. maybe that was before.
catherine: what do you want to hear? i screwed up. i'm sorry.
robert?: sorry doesn't cut it. five days unpaid leave.
cath gets up and walks out. grissom tries real hard to leave too, but - - -
robert?: grissom - - we're not done here. i've heard rumors that you've been kicking back willows' reports.
grissom: one report. the jenkins case. she made a miscalculation and i've asked her to reissue the report.
robert?: great! well, while you're at it, maybe she can reissue the lab explosion. let me explain something to you - - (dude turns away and grissom's hearing starts blanking out) every one of us in this building, all of us... blah blah blah...
grissom: robert! if you have something to say to me, say it to my face.
robert!: okay. it's not your job to protect your people. it's your job to protect the integrity of this lab.
grissom: without the people, there is no lab.
i love the comeback, gris! ♥ ♥ ♥

nick is talking to sara at the house of mickey d. really, his name is mickey d.
nick: i hear you think you're indestructible now, sara. have you ever had a gun drawn on you, sara?
sara: no. i haven't.
nicky has had a gun pulled on him. at least twice. if not more. "well, it's not as bad as they say it is." - nicky [not!]

catherine is hanging out in greg's hospital room and looking out the window, waiting to talk to him. greg wakes up.
greg: what time is it?
catherine: late.
greg: how long have you been here?
cath: a while. i've got a little time on my hands.
greg: you figured out what happened in the lab, didn't you?
cath: yeah. yeah, and i wanted you to hear it from me.
cath pulls up a chair next to the bed and sits next to greg. how cute! i like humble!catherine. i really do.

we cut from there to a shot of grissom sitting on the edge of his desk flipping through his rolodex. he takes out the card that has the name of his ear doctor on it. on my fuzzy tape i can't read what it says, but i think her name is kathy or something with a k. anyway, this is the last scene, by the way. sara walks up to the edge of the door and sees him looking at the card.
sara: you - got a minute?
grissom: i was just leaving.
sara: yeah, the, uh, schedule says you're off tonight.
grissom: i am.
sara: me too.
grissom: you should be on paid leave.
sara: i'm fine.
grissom: you were fortunate. and i'm not talking about the explosion.
sara: you, uh, you talked to brass.
grissom: and nick.
sara: we got the guy.
grissom: is that all you have to say?
(grissom has walked across the room to stand next to her)
sara: would you like to have dinner with me?
grissom: no...
sara: why not? let's - let's have dinner. let's see what happens.
grissom: sara... i don't know what to do about this.
sara: i do. [whisper]four days![/whisper]

but i won't talk about that anymore. i'll try to maintain some sort of dignity. ha ha ha ga!

omg the weather was so so so nice on friday. holy cow. i ate lunch outside with a bunch of people. one thing i seriously love about my school – no cliques. for the most part. everyone is friends with everyone. it's great. there are some people that i don't talk to, but wow.
another thing i love is the fact that you can not know someone's name, but want to talk to them, and if they are down the hall, you just scream "kate! sarah! caitlin! katie! julie! lindsey!" and other common girl names and eventually, she'll turn around. no kidding. i have three caitlins in my french [oh, sorry, i mean freedom] class and four sarahs in my computer applications class. (big shout out to the two sarahs that sit next to me in computers!!!)

does anyone know if the mets won their last game? hm. i could just ask sarah...

i can hardly believe that i am a video archivist! i go crazy every time i see that. i haven't been to twop for a while. gotta catch up on it all.

so anyway, x2 - go see it. definitely. holy exegesis, see it.
it. is. Amazing. ...	with a capital A.

i always wonder, how can people listen to their cd players so loudly? my headphones go up to 10 and level 2 is almost too loud for me. when i'm on the bus level 4 is quite sufficient. but these crazy kids! you can hear all the words to their music when you're walking down the street. walking down the street and listening to really loud headphones is stupid for more than one reason, eh? if there's a kamikaze granny on more than just "grass" careening down the street and can't control the car, how are you gonna hear someone yell at you from behind to get out of the way? come on! we only get one pair of ears, right? there's a reason why headphones are illegal to wear when you're driving a car. there are some people who should just not be allowed to listen to music while they're walking down the street, because they listen to it too loudly. i'm trying to not be a hypocrite here; on thursdays i do listen to music while walking to school. but i make a point of making sure i can hear everything going on. i make sure i can hear footsteps of the person next to me, for cryin' out loud! anyway, maybe i just have sensitive ears. i've always been able to hear really well. so this is the end of my rant.[/rant]

so the next speech i'm writing is about why greyhound racing should be illegal. if you're reading this, check this out. i would appreciate it. if you look around you will probably find the link called "the proof is in the pictures." THIS IS A WARNING!!! you should not look at these pictures if you
A) have any kind of weak stomach whatsoever
B) are really compassionate (who knows, you might do something drastic. rar!)
C) have a greyhound, esp. an ex-racer.
really. i managed through them, but wow, they are intense. i don't think i will have any problems at all arguing my point in this persuasive speech. once i'm done writing it, i will post a notice here, and if you want a copy, email/comment me. should be strong.

so that's all i have to say. does anyone else's cat snore? mine does. she was sleeping on the bed next to me on saturday and (over my headphones!!! my point!) i could hear her snore. it was funny and so cute!

my first (1st) quote of the day is from the song by pink, don't let me get me:
"every day i fight a war against the mirror
i can't take the person staring back at me
i'm a hazard to myself
don't let me get me
i'm my own worst enemy
it's bad when you don't know yourself
so irritating
don't want to be my friend no more
i wanna be somebody else"

my second (2nd) quote of the day is from dear old mr. berg, my middle school health teacher, and also warrick brown in forever (about suicide):
"a permanent solution to a temporary problem"

my third (3rd) quote of the day is from best years of our lives by the baja men:
"i get such a thrill when you look in my eyes
my heart skips a beat girl i feel so alive
please tell me baby if all this is true
'cause deep down inside all i wanted was you"

i love this song! it totally makes me think of g/s every time. every time. ('tis the truth, folks! Just One Word is coming your way in Just Four Days! i believe in GSR, do you?)

i'll be back tomorrow. today is Just Four Days until Just One Word, so tomorrow will not be "tuesday," but Just Three Days. The unofficial official day of versus. (kind of like the THE Unofficially Official Snow Cone or Popcorn [but only if you really like it] Pass from Band WooHoo that i carry around in my purse, only today is not pink and not ripped in half. Also like The Box of Lady Heather [Lady Heather's Box] but not really.)

i love Thursdays. Seriously [llama. Do i have license to say that? i don't really know what it means, but it's a TWoP thing.], i do. Not only CSI, but G schedule: late start and good classes, too. F schedule vs. G schedule: G always wins.

My grammar is wacko today so don't mind me. i don't know what i'm deciding to do about it yet. OPINION POLL!!! Is this easier to read using correct grammar, with the capitals at the beginning of sentences and stuff or with nothing capitalized at all? so... yesterday vs. any entries before. Comment me on this. i feel all alone because not very many people comment me. i believe it's Lauren and sometimes some other people. maybe... dani and marscheeeeee that one time. Once each? Yep.

i have decided for my lurvely seeeestar that she is going to McGill for school. McGill University? i don't know the correct name for it (not the biggest impression, eh? i'm sending her to a school and i don't exactly know the official name for it. i'd better learn it.) but it's in Montreal. Chapel Hill is cool, but McGill is cooler. It's like Academy vs. High School.

Hmmm, i need another vs. ... ... ... Meanwhile, yesterday in Christology we did some play that Dr. Sheila the GospelExpert/genius/!!amazing!!!singer/slightly intimidating-looking woman wrote about jesus and the healing of the blind man bartemaeus. i played martha of bethany and Pharisee 2. It was definitely good times. And we sat on the floor with our teacher (who crakes me up, by the way. he is So Funny! He is my second favorite teacher these days. At this school. Dr. Mak the sweetie being first and my math teacher being third tied with Madame for French. But the teachers at AHS vs. the teachers at SMA, or even some of the teachers at AMS vs. the teachers at SMA... i dunno. i think AHS/AMS wins overall. My favorite teachers ever are not at this school, except for Dr. Mak, and she's on the list, but not at the top. There are a select few that are definitely better there than here, but there are some that are definite not good there. But i'm like Jenny from the block. i know where i came from. :D but [/OT] and back to the topic:) and he was in his socks and we talked about who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. and why there even is hell if god/jesus forgives all sins. Whatever.

Yesterday in English we watched the Wishbone version of the Odyssey!!! "shake a leg now Wishbone, let's wag another tale, sniffin' out adventure, with Wishbone on the trail..." Of course, that series seemed so much better when i was 8, but it's still good. it's a classic! We're also watching the new version of the Odyssey, not the one with Kirk Douglas. "I AM OH-DEE-SEE-US, AND THIS IS MY STORY." It's pretty good so far. We've read (or CliffNoted) as far as book 14, i think. after Polyphemus and Noman, the story line lost me totally. anyway, Wishbone Odyssey vs. Homer's Odyssey... Do I really need to state the answer here?
[whisper]it's Wishbone![/whisper]

So i was looking around on some of the floppy disks i carry around in my purse. Guess what i found? A lab write-up from the first couple of weeks of eighth grade. i will put it (except for the data table) here -->

Introduction-
A student wanted to do an experiment, but we'll have to do the experiment for the student. The student wanted to know if
"splat" size was affected if you drop the same thing from more than one height from the impact point. My hypothesis was yes, the splat size would be bigger the higher the object is dropped from.
Conclusions-
My hypothesis was correct; the splat size will be bigger the higher the object is dropped from. At three centimeters, the average splat size was almost 9 millimeters, at 6 centimeters, it was eleven and a half millimeters, and at nine centimeters, it was fourteen millimeters. Dropped from twelve centimeters, the splat size was fourteen and a half millimeters, at fifteen, it was sixteen millimeters, and at thirty centimeters it was just over twenty millimeters. When the water was dropped from sixty centimeters, the average splat size was almost twenty-three millimeters, and dropped from one hundred centimeters, the splat size was almost twenty-six millimeters across. This data was quite clear.
Extension-
If I could make changes to this lab, I would add some things. I might do the regular one drop from a certain height, but I might also do two drops, and see if that would affect the splat size more at a lower height or a higher one.

Bad! i can hardly believe that was last year! Not a bad extension idea, though. Let's see, now i know that the angle from which the drop was dropped onto the surface can be calculated by measuring the size of the drop. And i know that it's expressed as a trigonometric function. The width of the drop over the length of the drop is a sine function. You plug it into the calculator and get the angle of impact. For example: a drop of blood at a crime scene is 3 wide and 11 mm wide. 3/11 equals .2727 and the sine of that is 15.8 degrees. So the angle of impact is 15.8 degrees. You follow? i do. i also figured out (with inspiration) that the sun moves a quarter of a degree every minute. 360 degrees in the sun's circle (or any circle, for that matter) divided by 24 hours per day = 15 degrees per hour. 15 degrees per hour divided by 60 minutes per hour = .25 degrees per minute. That was easy, and I can figure a lot of things out from there. I have one question for anyone that knows, though. At noon is the sun always 90 degrees in the sky? It seems like it could be just a stereotype. Maybe only at the equator? Mmmmmscience. But my point is that 8th grade science vs. 9th grade science, there is no comparison. 9th here is awesome!!!

Does anyone want une liste? Because i want to give you une liste.
UNE LISTE
5 floppy disks
1 pet rock
2 chapsticks (1 Bonne Bell and the other ChapStick. Glad everyone reading this thought of me (my nose itches) enough to, well, read me ... ! Carry on and have a lovely May Day. If you're in a union, go march for worker's rights. :)

I love Thursday nights!
doo doo dee doo it's CSI ~
I love Thursday nights
and hey I love CSI
(sung to the tune of "i love rock&roll," of course!)

it is now time for my Thursday Happy Dance. (i guess it goes along with my ThursdayNight Happy Song.)
*Does Thursday Happy Dance while singing ThursdayNight Happy Song*

You commenting me vs. You not commenting me ... ... ...

You just think about that one for a while, huh? It was pitch black at like 7h30. Crazy. Power didn't go out. :P I like Nevada thunderstorms better, though. The Reno ones, not the Las Vegas ones that TPTB (The Powers That Be) have thought up. What is it with all the rain in this imaginary Vegas? I mean, come on! But ya gotta love those Powers. They give us CSI. And as I'm sure we all know: CSI- It's a good thing. (Bleargh!!! Shades of Martha!)

So y'all should be surprised, I watched That Other Show on Monday. I hate Horatio Caine. Nasty man. I guess the episode wasn't too bad, though. That Cuban guy... Mmmmm. I dunno anyone's names on that show except for HoCaine and Emily? Maybe Emily if the actress. The blonde chick. And I know there's someone named Speedle but I'm not sure which guy it is.

Link to the LJ of *mar is here. It's pretty funny.

I. Will. Not. Read. Any. More. Spoilers. But now I think I know almost all there is to leak. Seriously [llama?]. I know so much. Too much. But I've gotta get it all down somewhere, for reference or something. *Sigh* Here we go. You guinea pig!

CSI news:

*
*
*
S
P
O
I
L
E
R
S
!
!
!
*
*
*
Warning: These spoilers include some Wild Speculation and are certainly not reliable. Not to mention the wild venting on my part. This is all in my own snark translated from CSI-GrissomSara and TWOP.

So here's what we know now:

3.21 - Forever: NO ONE CARES ANYMORE!!!! EVERYONE IS FOCUSED ON THE TWO EPISODES AFTER IT!!! BWAH HA HA HA! Basically, a lady gets trampled to death in a jet at 30,000 feet and the first suspect? Her racehorse, happily in its stall on the plane munching Cuban cigars. Seriously. There's some convoluted stuff that goes on involving peculiar shoe prints and lots and lots of tranquilizer, and there are dead ends everywhere. Then what happens? The racehorse kicks the bucket. The case that Warrick and Sara have is a Romeo and Juliet style suicide with a pair of teenagers. What is it with Grissom? This is at least the third, if not the fifth or millionth episode where Grissom has put Sara on a separate case than he. Not so sure on who had which case on Precious Metals. It's been a while. But he is supervisor! He has total control over which CSI works with which CSI(s)!! So why isn't he doing anything about Sara? [/vent]
(This airs May 1, 2003)

3.22 - Play With Fire: Many continuity possibilities here! The lab catches on fire from some sort of chemical explosion about a third of the way through the episode, and it sends Sara and Greg to the ER. It's the fault of one of the CSIs. Grissom, with his hearing problem, thinks that he could have prevented it. Maybe he really could have, but I mean, what happens happens. Fate. I support it. Sometimes it can be avoided, other times no. So apparently he schedules his surgery. Finally!!! Something with Sara and Grissom's Rolodex, and she and/or everyone finds out about his otosclerosis. It's possible that Grissom tells Catherine first, but maybe not. According to Carol Mendelsohn, there is one word in this episode that allegedly tells more about Grissom's feelings for Sara than ten pages of dialogue could (I am assuming Grissom is the one that says this word.). Just One Word. Wild Speculation as to what it could be: Yes. No. Sara. You. Leave. Go. Stay. Come. Please. Why? What? It could be continuity from the other relationships the two have both had, Hank and Lady Heather, for Sara and Grissom respectively: Baby. Stop. So many possibilities. Leaves a lot to the imagination, darn it anyway.
(This airs either May 8, 2003 or May 15, 2003. I've heard both. Too bad it won't air both weeks. It's unfortunately one or the other.)

3.23 - In The Box: As the finale for the third season, there is also very much prospective continuity in this episode. Much Wild Speculation as to the title; could it be actual continuity, maybe an allusion to Lady Heather's Box? Or maybe something having to do with thinking outside the box. Or rather, In[side] The Box. Word is, Grissom goes in for day surgery. How it turns out? We'll just have to wait and see, maybe until next season, even. That's TV. Cliffhangers- the ultimate weapon. Detective Lockwood is standing in line at a bank and an armed robbery *begins*. Lockwood tries to save a little boy and gets shot through the heart. Let's just say he's not going to be around for next season, but at least he lasted longer than Holly Gribbs. This, of course, is a huge hit to the shift, especially after so much tension lately: the lab fire, Sara (and Greg of course) going to the ER, Grissom's otosclerosis, Grissom's surgery, Just One Word, not to mention all the potential UST or any UT whatsoever in the GSR thing goin' on. Potential is the key word here. Plus any more tension we might get with Hank. Sara has to get to the ER somehow, and probably the EMTs will take her in their ecnalubma. And guess who is EMT of the year?
(This airs probably one to two weeks after Play With Fire, most likely one. But since the actual date for Play With Fire is not completely secure in my mind, that could mean In The Box airs May 15, May 22, or May 29. But I have a feeling in every one of my 206 bones it is May 22. I don't know why.)
*
*
*
E
N
D
*
S
O
I
L
E
R
S
*
*
*

Okay, I finished the last of that roll of film, so I should be getting Duck and eight people in a Cadillac and Plaza Jalisco and visitors from California pictures sometime soon. Yay pictures!

NOVA SCOTIA!!! (blame Canada... No, I've never seen that show/movie, and I never plan to, thank you very much. I love my Canadians. I do not blame them for anything. Saskatchebush, heh.) JAMES!!!! All I have to say is ♥! And *mar, dear, you know it. He was mine first. You just have to accept it. Can't wait 'til Boxwood. :D

Um, if anyone is wondering why today is the day I chose to use correct grammar, I can't tell you. I really don't know. I LOVE TRIGNOMETRY! I love science and right now, math, too. Amazing. Mmmmtriangles.

Oh! I found out what was wrong with grissomandsara.com!! (By the way, if you click on that link, you'll see for yourself that it doesn't work. The connection will time out.) They got a flood of fanfictions and they couldn't update fast enough. So grissomandsara.com, Under the Bridge (G&S.com's forum), and the Golden Plant Awards should be up again on May 1. They'd better. I think that if they didn't have it back online by May 1 (hint, check your calendar, that's this Thursday!) they will have to deal with hundreds of angry geeks. That could be scary. Mr. Sorcha (according to Sorcha Mise) has a t-shirt/bumper sticker/coffee mug/whatever it is/something that says "Do not meddle in the affairs of Geeks, for your access codes are... available." or something to that effect. It's like "Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup." The point? If you've got angry geeks, stay outta the way.
Speaking of dragons, I have to find the link to that dragon color quiz again... I know I have it somewhere. Stashed in my sent messages box. Which email account, I have no idea.

You know the craziest thing? I love the font Verdana and I can't stand the font Tahoma. Do you have any idea how similar those fonts are? But it's Verdana size 10 all the way. And really now, that's all I have to say.

my quote of the day is from the song hero from the Spider-Man soundtrack, by Chad Kroeger featuring Josey Scott.
"now that the world isn't ending
it's love that i'm sending to you
it isn't the love of a hero
and that's why i fear it won't do"

That was a big glorious shout-out to you, dahling.
It's all for you. It really is. ;D
(If you're reading this, that shout-out was not for you. I don't think my Secret Pal reads this. That was for her. Pointless, you say? I say that too. Too bad.)

Now allons-y! (let's go! Lovely seeestar tell me how to spell the other one, please. The one you say often. on y va? Is that right?)
Comment at me!

Person 1: What's your opinion on the world these days?
Person 2: The world? I'm all for it.

I support the world. And upside-down tomato plants.

"I'm out." *puts on snappy sunglasses and stalks away Warrick-style.*

Oh! Hee! I'm in Gryffindor! I can't figure out how to make the picture be there, but here:

Get Sorted By The Hogwarts Sorting Hat!

argh. long time gone. (hey! that's a dixie chicks song.)

hm. seems that the only person that reads me is my sister and maybe dani once in a while. shout-out to dani!!! and luarne, too, of course.

teeth news:
the teeth are fine. it's rather interesting smelling them grinding the old cement off the tooth stuck up in your palate... hm. so yeah, it felt weird while in the process of surgery, but slightly cool. i went home and slept quite a bit and was up by the time the furniture got delivered at 3 and watched some csi and then watched some more csi at ten (random acts of violence).

so what else? ummm... i should get Duck pictures developed soon. for those of you who don't know Duck, he is the rubber duckie that lives in my purse. like lauren's vincent. anyway. so yes, he is my Duck.

ummm... i've got good spoilers for play with fire and in the box and i am eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeing and cannot wait for them. now now now now now now now now now. nine days until play with fire. i have promised myself i will stay away from spoilers, hearsay, and wild speculation. but i'm still lurking. i. must. leave. ...

ha! yeah, right.

must get spatulas.

okay, now everyone can almost carry on with their lives. but you have to email/comment me first. comments are good, but if you know my address you can mail me. my inbox is empty. how sad! ;(

now comment!

and then carry on.

oh wait! i almost forgot!

my quote of the day is taken from someone's message on csi-grissomsara:
Warning, *SPOILERS*! This is on the May 3rd TV Guide "Insider":

CSI Gets Personal:
TV's No. 1 show finally investigates the team's private lives

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has always been stingy with details
about the private lives of its workaholic characters, and they, in
turn, don't know much about one another. But this "don't ask, don't
tell" policy is about to backfire on forensics chief Gil Grissom
(played by William Petersen). His crime lab will blow up in the May 8
episode, triggering revelations "that are bigger than the explosion
itself," says Carol Mendelsohn, executive producer of the CBS hit. "A
lot of emotions and truth will come to the surface." Grissom, who
might have prevented the accident had he been aware of personal
problems facing his staff, will be forced to deal with his own long-
held secret-his loss of hearing. An unspoken attraction will also
escalate, sort of. Teases Mendelsohn: "In just one word, Grissom will
say more about his feelings for Sara [Jorja Fox] than he could in 10
pages of dialogue." -Michael Logan

not really a quote, so here's a real one. i couldn't resist. (that was for play with fire. so so so so so many spoilers i'm going to die.

one word. will it be yes, no, sara, wait, stay, go, leave, why?, what?, and all that. anyway, nobody except spoiler-happy csi shippers know what i'm talking about.

my real quote of the day is from the song superman by lazlo bane (the scrubs theme song>
"you've crossed the finish line
won the race but lost your mind
was it worth it after all
i need you here with me
'cause love is all we need
just take a hold of the hand that breaks the fall
well i know what i've been told
gotta break free to break the mold
but i can't do this all on my own
no i'm no
i'm no superman
i'm no superman"

ta-ta!
(now comment me)

tomorrow is oral sugery part 2 day. so not excited.

salvy and i were talking about easter candy and now i want some. peeps and cadbury creme eggs. i must have.

last night my mom opened a bag of marshmallows (kosher, darn it!!!) and i was trying to think of a topic for my persuasive speech and i was considering talking about the non-existent rights of those afghanistani [bushism!!!! bushism!!!!] captives in cuba. i decided that marshmallows have no rights and promptly shoved five in my mouth. marshmallows have no rights.

the weirdest thing happened, i got an email from cbs today...
promoting the newest ep of csi (on tonight). it was pretty cool, actually. wannabe gigi from twop got one too, apparently. it was exciting.

csi news:
from tvguide.com:
April 24: Last Laugh: Grissom and Catherine investigate the murder of a despised comic who died onstage, apparently after drinking from a tainted bottle of water. The case grows more puzzling when a 15-year-old boy dies in a convenience store after drinking the same brand of water. Also: Brass reopens a woman's accidental-death case after spotting the deceased's husband in a flashy new car with a trophy date on his arm.

next week:
May 1: Forever: A murder aboard a luxurious 747 and the discovery of two formally attired teens in the desert confound Grissom and his crew in this absorbing episode. First, a horse trainer is found dead in the cargo bay of a private jet carrying 12 well-heeled passengers and a million-dollar show horse. Initially, it appears the victim was trampled to death, but Grissom and Catherine uncover evidence of foul play. Meanwhile, in the Hell's Gate section of Death Valley, Sara and Warrick probe the apparent suicide of a 15-year-old boy found under a bedspread. The investigation intensifies when a girl's body turns up a half-mile away.

this excites me. i ♥ csi.

i have begun the long and dangerous process of unsubscribing to junk email. takes forever, but i hope i will see results soon.

lost another floppy disk.

but found it again.

i'm so bad at that.

but i love floppies.

:D

grissom: we handle each case without presupposition regarding race, color, creed, or bubblegum flavor!

not my quote of the day but good nonetheless. (lucky her. i can't wait 'til honors chem)

today was poverty awareness day, with focus on refugees. it was a pretty good thing. the simulation was fantastic. our ta was the family from brazil trying to get to canada. our last name was "zenque" or something ridiculous like that. but sr. linda and scary religion lady wouldn't let us through the border and we had to go away and get our story straight. we got a new representative (traded annie for someone good, i dunno her name) and then we went back to the other border crossing people. our argument wasn't that great, but we bribed pat barr (the principal) and patty gorman (?) with our jewelry. first time i've ever bribed a principal. hm. but we got across the border and then went to the cafeteria for our hunger banquet. interesting... but overall, a good experience. i'm more aware of poverty??? we got in a pretty nasty fight in ta today. not simulation, either.

speech is almost done. i have to learn it now. i present tomorrow. hm. i should get cracking.

today is tuesday. that's all i have to say. but i do have two quotes for the day today.

my first (1st) quote of the day is from dr. mak, when she was trying to break up our verbal battle today in ta.
"life is... is not complicated."

and my second (2nd) quote of the day is from hunter, a song by dido.
"so let me go
let me leave
for the crown you've placed upon my head
feels to heavy now
and i don't know what to say to you
but i'll smile anyhow
and all the time i'm thinking
thinking..."

sorry long quote. but one more:

my third (3rd) quote of the day is from gaiainc.
"time to go check head lice!"
and then erik:
"off to create a newspaper page!"

;)

props to all.

oh, i forgot to tell everyone, passover is in soon amount of days too. but since i go to a catholic school, that doesn't really count.

it's complicated. hard to explain.

today is meg's birthday!!! go meg!!! she is fifteen. for those of you who don't know meg (that would be anyone from any place other than sma) she is my buddy from sma. she's really smart and she lent me a really great book (the coffin dancer) and she is meg. she's really smart and reads a lot. good books, too. she and i (and dinisha too) are going to take over the planet. school first. because we are geniuses.

my bloody stupid english teacher didn't tell us today whether we got into honors english for next year. she was supposed to. we find out tomorrow.

which brings me to the topic of... tomorrow.
tomorrow is our "poverty awareness day." this means:
no classes!
we have to be aware of poverty!
no homework!
we get out at one!
i won't be on the computer tomorrow, luarne!
i dunno, apparently all we do all day is learn about poverty. *shrugs*

all i have to say is that no, the best things do not come from wisconsin. seriously [llama].

:)

that's all for t'day.

31 days until play with fire!!!!!! i can hardly wait. but i gotta. and apparently there are only 38 days left of school. score.

my quote of the day is from the episode of csi 31 days from now, play with fire. it's gonna be good!!!
dr. al robbins (david the variably named coroner): it makes this office look inept.

yay!!! hm. but it brings back good memories of spring break... *sigh*.

so i'm playing the cbs agent access only game. it's pretty fun. it's just a bunch of scientific trivia, but i usually get a lot of it right.some of the questions are no-brainers, like:
which way does fire usually burn?
a) up
b) down
c) there is no predictable direction.

hello? i'd better know that, me being the scientific genius that i am. ha! not.

so i aced the sex, lies, and larvae game. even though it was questions for burden of proof. that doesn't make sense. but since i've seen them both, i aced it. i'm trying to find the questions for sex, lies, and larvae. that's one of my fav eps. hm. i will make a list of my favortite episodes of csi now.
here:
sex, lies, and larvae
burden of proof
blood lust
blood drops

ha! the questions for burden of proof are under the sex lies and larvae heading and the burden of proof heading. that sucks. on with the list

lady heather's box
caged
slaves of las vegas
pilot
cool change
crate and burial
crash and burn
a night at the movies

ha! i found the sex, lies, and larvae questions! they were under the "and then there were none" heading! score! tptb need to work on the links of their site. oh, tptb= the powers that be. the writers and head people at csi.

i think that's all i have to add to the list today. i'll add more later.

did i tell already that dr. mak (dr. makowski, my wonderful wonderful fabulous biology teacher plus my ta, teacher advisor) wants me to do inventory at the end of the year? in the bio lab? that is the coolest thing ever!! she's gonna teach me how to make chemicals and we're gonna do experiments and i'm really excited. dr. mak is so great! teachers... i love 'em. but i would never really want to be one. but anyway, yeah, i get to do experiments with dr. mak! this will look good on my application to honors chemistry for junior year and better on my application for srm (scientific research methods) for senior year. i can't wait! biology is going to be so awesome at the end of the year. the seniors graduate 3 weeks early, and since my bio class is all seniors, me, and three juniors, it's just gonna be kendall, katherine, laura (some girl, i dunno which one she is) and me left in the class. i know that kendall and katherine are science geeks, so it should be fun. but since i don't know who the heck laura is, i dunno if she's a sci. geek. but most likely, because she's finished with the science program a year early. but i'm excited.

we start forecasting next week! on the 16th. i can't wait! i'm really pumped. i like school. mostly. but holy exegesis, i don't want to take three more years of religion classes. plus, next thursday i have to go to mass. woohoo. i'm. so. excited.

umm, my trusty sister luarne/lauren set me up with comments, so you all should comment at the end of my posts. then i can know you are reading this! even though i doubt you are. bwah. that makes no sense at all.

everyone email me!!! i think it's pretty sad, the fact that out of all the people to whom i sent the link to here,
one person (my best friend, of course) emailed me saying she read it
one person (another good friend) emailed me saying she wouldn't read it
one person (erik, shout out to you!, someone i've never actually met from twop) sent me an email because he read my blog and liked it
two people (auchic and texas chic, i believe you are, shout outs to you, also people i've never met from twop) posted on twop that they thought my blog was funny.
is that sad? yes. as sad as horatio caine.

ykyalrw (you know you're a lab rat when) you compare things to the sad qualities of the red-headed stepchild.

does anyone know why i have been getting so much spam to my email account? like 30 a day, not kidding. maybe it's because i just signed up for blogger, 3 yahoo groups, icq, geek love notices, and reminders from the hunger site, the breast cancer site, and the save the rainforest site. actually, i think it's all from the save the blah blah blah sites because i had all the other stuff for a while and no spam but then i signed up for daily reminders, i forget to check my email for 2 days, and boom, 67 messages in my bulk mail folder. i had never ever ever gotten bulk mail before. the sites say they are confidential, but i am now questioning that. it's all because of jorja fox's website. oh well, other than those bum links she has a pretty cool site. oh well. maybe i'll get a new email address. but sometimes that seems like too much work. i just won't sign up for anything any more. ha! yeah right.

oh, by the way, i now have an icq number. i don't remember what it is, but my nickname is imaginarycsi and my name name is marika. so y'all add me to your lists and send me messages! disregard the fact that my profile says i'm a boy. i'm not really. something went screwy during registration.

i think that's all i have to say for today. except for...

my quote of the day is from lauren, my sister, and her friend shannon.
"you are So Funny.
you crake me up."

does everyone else think she is on creak?

send me emails! send me icq messages! post me messages at the end of this blog entry!

hey everyone! i know html! now all my links will work and my apostrophes too!!!

big shout-out to luarne for fixing my issues with html. you snarky librarian!
also a big shout-out to erik, too! (twop girls, erik emailed me!!! i get harem points for that!)

csi news:
last night's ep was called a night at the movies and oh my holy exegesis it was good!
s
p
o
i
l
e
r
s
!
!
!
ummm, so the a-plot was a stabbing death in a movie theater screening hitchcock's strangers on a train, right? they talked about the plot of the movie excessively, thank you from those of us who have never seen anything hitchcock. but it turned out that the murder case was suspiciously just like the plot from the hitchcock movie. two chicas made a deal that they would kill each other's problem men, but one of the chicas didn't hold up her end of the bargain, so the other one killed her and made it look like a suicide. but she got caught. and then grissom (♥ ♥ ♥) told her that the character from strangers on a train that she was playing dies at the end of the movie.
b-plot: sara, nicky (♥) and warrick (♥) had a dead boy in a warehouse with 109 spent casings in the place and 109 bullet holes in the walls. in every direction possible. but it turned out that the kid and a bunch of other boys (including his brother) had some kind of death wish and they were playing bamboo russian roulette. they put a really long stick of bamboo through the ceiling of the warehouse and went up to the roof and spun a gun down to the ground on the stick. the centrifugal (at least, i think that's what it is, i'm not the biggest physics phan. ha.) force pulled the trigger, so the bullets went off in every direction and the boys had to dodge the bullets. stupid boys. that's one of the reasons i go to an all-girl's school. guys are all idiots.
no stereotype!
ok, but the best parts of the whole ep were when
1)when jacqui (i guess that's her name, according to some labrats) and greggie (♥) raced to process evidence and greggie won (of course!!!) and then greggie made jacqui wear a turban all day. csi comic relief!!! but yeah, turban-girl "put in a good word" for greg to grissom. i have a feeling sometime soon greg will be getting a promotion. go liam/greg!
2) at the very end, cath and gris were watching some noir film and catherine asked grissom how he was liking it (or something to that effect) and he said "i'm not a big fan of noir films" and catherine looked at him and said "what do you like?" (shades of too tough to die, season 1 episode 15, and slaves of las vegas season 2 episode i dunno) and grissom looks at her and says "i like silent films" and then we get the black screen that says jerry bruckheimer or something. but omg!!!!! what the heck is he doing dropping hints about his otosclerosis to catherine!!! isn't there a spoiler out there that in play with fire (the third episode from now)
3) greggie's song:
"ninety-nine bottles of beer on the wall
ninety-nine bottles of beer!
take one down
swab its neck and run it through codis...
ninety-eight bottles of beer on the wall"
that's liam/greg's beer song. and then later he says to nicky "us labrats gotta have something to do all day!"
that is the greatest line ever.

i suppose i could just give you sobell's mini-recap, but i dunno if i'm allowed to do that, so i won't. but you can read it here, so please do.

oh well.

oh oh oh i have exciting news!!! i got into honors history 10 for next year!!! and so did nikki and dinisha and meg. this is good.

on-going dilemma:
i need to find a nickname for dinisha. nikki calls her nish-nish. she needs a better nickname. that's lame.
meg doesn't know it, unless she's reading this, but i call her "megara" in my mind. you know, megara from hercules? i dunno.

aj, you need to be reading this. think about why i wouldn't be talking to you:
" I am not going to read your blog cause its too much work, but check out popcap.com>insaniquarium next time you get bored at school"
does anyone else think this is good reason why i should not be talking to her?

sorry aj. it's just a little frustrating. i'll talk to you now.

ummm, other new news? i dunno. it's friday. i have so such homework. i have to write a speech, do 2 sections of advanced algebra, an exegesis paper and some other jesus stuff, a biology worksheet, and the conjugation of allez to memorize.
actually, now that i have that down on screen, it doesn't seem like that much. oh well.

i think that's all i have to say. i'll think of a quote of the day and i'll post it later. only three minutes til computer applications is over. cameron!!!

there is an extraneous u in whiskey!!! (transparent and green, erik, what do you think?)

umm, my quote of the day is from well, us astoria people. i am putting it because it's funny.
"je n'ai pas de amis!!!"

french speaking people:
not sure if it's de or des, but i think that because it's negative it is de. that's what madame shoemaker says, anyway.
non-french speaking people, learn french. it's da' bomb!

oh, yes, it is. i'm gone.

just so you all know, i am still figuring out html. the links don't work yet. but they will.

yo! Apparently, the man was killed during a noisy on-screen gunfight, perhaps by a tall redheaded woman seen leaving the theater during that scene. Across town, a team tries to unravel the mystery of a badly bruised 15-year-old boy found shot to death in a bullet-riddled warehouse, where more than 100 rounds were fired from every conceivable angle, including the roof.
~yay! i can't wait. that's tonight at nine. i ♥ csi!!!
the csi official site

fanfiction news:
wow! i am now an official fanfiction author! someone asked me to archive on their site!!! go me!
so my two fanfics (both for csi, of course) are:
diversion (a wip: work in progress. i have 4 chapters done but 2 posted)
and
desert winds (done. you have to read the heading. it was an english assignment!)
they are archived on grissomandsara.com
and here is a direct link to diversion. desert winds isn't up yet.
other archives:
here
and here (these both have diversion and desert winds.
i am proud of my fanfics, but i think you all should read them and send me feedback!!! i am a newbie at this and i need affirmation (that is my word of the day)!!! so read and respond with props or pointers. r&r w/p/p. anyway, i also have another fanfic, but my beta-readers (hint hint, aj, dani, meca, tina, and margit . . . ) haven't all gotten back to me yet. and i would archive that either on fanfiction.net or the workinglove archive. it is g/c, not g/s, so i can't post it on a g/s site. topic? i got nothing. oh. g=grissom s=sara c=catherine. they are characters from csi. but that's not the point. analyze for literary content.

me in general news:
go me!
i am:
reading: crime scene, larry ragle; the coffin dancer, jeffery deaver; lady knight, tamora pierce (meca, i promise i'll get that back to you someday); perpetually the mists of avalon, marion zimmer bradley; and some fanfics that are wips, including confrontation and stay.
studying: the odyssey and some other mythology stuff in english, forensics (dna fingerprinting, ballistics, and fingerprint analysis yay yay yay!) in speech, exponential and logarithmic functions (party on in exponential amounts!)in advanced algebra, jesus (i have to write a research paper - 9 pages! about the parable of the lost sheep. outrageous!) in christology, genetic technology and gel electrophoresis and more forensics!-dna fingerprinting score score score! in biology, and some verbs and adjectives and boys and stuff in french. wow, i'm all across the board there, aren't i? (*sigh*)
thinking about: how much i wish it were thursday every day. i like thursdays. i have my super-easy schedule: late-start/activity block (that's now, we don't officially start school until 8:40), biology (love love love this class, dr. mak rules), break, 'omputer applications (so so so easy!!! easiest class ever, i swear), mass/study (today in mass/study i am going to knit my scarf. next week in mass/study i am going to go to easter liturgy. itÂ’s required. sucks, but i gotta go. i gotta dress up, too), lunch (duh! lunch is the best! but not quite the same as lunch at ahs . . . ), and french (easy easy easy, my teacherÂ’s insane, but sheÂ’s pretty cool. except when sheÂ’s not cool. then, well, what can i say? when sheÂ’s not cool sheÂ’s really not cool.). what else am i thinking about? where i am going to take diversion. i kinda know how itÂ’s gonna go and i kinda donÂ’t. i left everyone on a hanging on a cliff, though. schroedinger got mad at me. she asked in an ugly beast way if everyone who writes fanfic went to school to learn how to write cliffhangers. ha! ha! ha! ga! what else am i thinking about? i donÂ’t want to be in school. am i 18 yet? am i 15 yet? is it 9:00 pm on cbs (cue for csi) yet? is it biology time yet? no is the answer to all those questions. is it blogging time yet? the answer to that is yes. hm. what else am i thinking about? war. war sucks. what else am i thinking about? nothing. iÂ’m actually feeling pretty shallow today.

that just about wraps it up. astoria people, i am coming on easter weekend, and like i told some of you before, itÂ’s being negotiated right now. iÂ’ll be at ahs on 18 april 2003. thatÂ’s a friday. then i am spending the weekend with danielle! i hope. my mother is not cooperating. darn. not a lot else is new. i donÂ’t think. except my school (st. maryÂ’s academy, for those of you who still havenÂ’t figured that out) is pretty damn kick-ass (sorry all you teachers who are reading this, i had to say it) and i love science. guess what? bono is going to save the world! no, seriously. i think itÂ’s in the new issue of time magazine or something. bonoÂ’s on the cover. my religion teacher, mr. hemmen, who is so so so much like jack from will and grace except supposedly straight and so so so much more hilarious and he rocks my world, has a copy. it was on his desk. mr. hemmen, though, is not as funny as some people i know. some guys i know. hm. sometimes it sucks going to a girls school. but that will the topic of a future post.
oh! also i have to tell you:
i have goals. that is another thing that is new. iÂ’m not big on goals. but i have two.
valedictorian (high school)
criminalist (career)
those are what i am going to be. first one, then the other. you decide what order. those are my goals. go me! meg and i are going to take over sma with our geniusness! iÂ’m tellinÂ’ ya! you guys donÂ’t believe me but we will. right, meg? oh yes. we are geniuses. in collaboration. we are not rivals. i have decided that. i guess itÂ’s really up to meg to decide whether we really are or arenÂ’t rivals, though. hm. meg?

congratulations! you are now a quarter of the way through this post! just kidding, itÂ’s almost the end.

i am gone now! i swear blogginess is addictive. but some of you i havenÂ’t talked to in a long long time. others, not so long. i needed to update you all on the vast goings-on of my oh-so-exciting life. but i hope you had fun reading my blog. it was fun to write. iÂ’ll be back tomorrow with a not-so-long post.
a bientot! (imagine the accents. they really are there, you know)

umm, everyone send me emails, to either imaginary_blonde_csi@yahoo.com or marika@stmaryspdx.org. please! everyone! you all matter to me! seriously! mail me! except if there is anyone reading this who i have never met, through the internet or actual contact. unless you really want to. topic? i want to hear from every single one of you reading this! itÂ’s a requirement! itÂ’s like that stupid speech class iÂ’m taking! you canÂ’t get out of it! one more rule, though. if you are going to email me (which you will), donÂ’t use computer jargon. lol, and html, and other common abbvs (ha!) are ok. but the other stuff? please, remain intelligent. i mean, switching 3s with es, not only is that not right, itÂ’s harder to type. and itÂ’s just plain dumb. continue to be smart. i speak english. and so do you. so prove it. (that! is my official snark for the day!) and i know iÂ’m being slightly hypocritical because iÂ’m not exactly using grammar correctly, with everything being lowercase, but at least i can spell. and i can spell good. ...ly. ;) adverb! well. bwah ha ha ha ga!

i think thatÂ’s it. just one more thing:

my quote of the day is from the song have it all by jeremy kay:
“today i feel like *laughing*
seems to be no reason at all
and if the world stops spinning
i'm not afraid to fall"

okay i think i'm back now. i am multitasking! go me! i'm on twop and yahoo and blogger and grissomandsara and some other stuff too.
microsoft word! trusty old ms word.

i lost a floppy disk today or yesterday. that is bad because i had some pretty cool stuff on it. there's a picture on it of billy peterson and jorja fox. if i lost that picture i'm gonna be pretty mad. i asked the librarian if she had found a black floppy from when i was posting my first chapter of diversion, and she said she had, but it turned out it was my other black floppy disk with all my csi desktops on it. would have been so mad if i had lost that. i had a copy of diversion on my hard drive of my laptop, so that's pretty good. oh well, i'll find the bloody black disk.

links! have some links. here you go.

grissomandsara.com

still figuring out html, so that might not work for a while. if it doesn't work, then just go to grissomandsara.com, click on the fanfiction link, and do an author search. for me! i'll get links up in a while.

but check me out! i write as imaginarycsi and i have posted two fanfics, a wip (diversion) and a non-wip (desert winds). so far.

right. that's all i have to say. moving along! off to yahoogroups!

hey hey hey! this is my blog. i am going to test some stuff now.

hello
i ♥ csi. no that's not working. i <♥> csi, perhaps?
